Fisht Fight
Fisht Fight is a global Fishing and Fighting competition for the highest, sickest air combos! With easy-to-learn, difficult-to-master VR combat and many unique fish to fight, there's a whole ocean of depth to explore!
In this project my roles were the main writer and secondary designer.
This particular script includes "stage directions" of sorts so the programmer on our team would know when each dialogue should trigger and run the script accordingly.
The tutorial is written in a very standard format, refraining from adding too many gags or nonessential dialogue. While VR has become more and more popular, VR games do not have one standard set of controls compared to (XXX platforms or controllers) and players don’t naturally understand how to play the game.
Alongside the narrators directions, we provided visual indicators and game objects that help the player understand the mechanics of the game.
Compendium
When writing the compendium entries, I wanted the tone to sound grandiose and epic as if they were coming from a heavyweight boxing title fighting announcer. My goal was to create descriptions that are short but informative. By doing so, it neither overload the payer with information nor give away to much about the mechanics of the fish. A large part of the gameplay is discovering the new combos techniques, and I wanted that to reflect the way the compendium was written.
